Gwendolyn Fitz is a jazz-pop singer-songwriter who enjoys weaving stories about her life in New York into songs. Her debut single, Painter Painter, is a coming-of-age story about figuring out who you are amidst a lot of uncertainty about what the future holds. It is set to release June 4th, 2021!
The ukulele influences a great deal of Gwendolyn's work. Often thought of as an instrument not capable of much, Gwendolyn has set out to break the boundaries of these notions. In January of 2021, Gwendolyn wrote an entire musical, 'Ease of a Murder', which only used the ukulele as its instrumentation. The show went on to win Best Show with Music at the 2021 Pittsburgh Fringe Festival. The show will be premiered in New York once all the theaters with the next year or two.
Gwendolyn also puts on a Ukulele Festival in Brooklyn every year. It's a two day event full of performances and workshops ukulele players can enjoy!
